Lyrics

A man alone among the stars, the countless billions, seeks but one
Remembered dimly from his youth, the distant, lost world of his birth
A man alone among the stars, feared by all, believed by none
So sinister the hidden truth of a forgotten legend he calls "Earth"

Mercenary, gladiator, bodyguard, thief, willing to kill and unafraid to bleed
With his resume survival rouses disbelief: supernatural luck or just uncanny speed?
Jealously guarded is the secret to learn; about him a web of dark deceit is curled
Tomorrow search; today survive and earn enough to buy passage from a dead - end world

You can spite the traveler with daring words
You can slight the traveler; you're barely heard
You can mock the traveler staring at the sky
But cross the traveler and prepare to die
Cross the traveler and die

To titillate the jaded from their wealth to part, always the same deadly game is played
In a ring or a maze or an arena to start with nothing but wits and a nine-inch blade
Travel High unless the take's too small or wary go with cheaper transportation for desperate men
Frozen like livestock, traveling Low; eight or nine survive out of every ten

Kill or be killed! The universal law
Kill or be killed! Each nerve and muscle raw
Kill or be killed! To win is to survive
Kill or be killed! Another hour alive
Kill or be killed! The universal rule
Kill or be killed! Avoid the fate of fools
Kill or be killed! Existing to survive
Kill or be killed! Alive!

Emotionless conspiracy of modififed men seek the stolen secret hidden in his mind
Extrapolate the endgame, where and when; based on what he holds and what he hopes to find
Everyone he ever loved, all things held dear ripped asunder, so much to avenge
Ignore the tortured memories; one fact is clear: the past is dead, no time today for revenge

A man alone among the stars, the countless billions, seeks but one
Remembered dimly from his youth, the distant, lost world of his birth
A man alone among the stars, feared by all, believed by none
Moves closer to the hidden truth of the forgotten legend he calls "Earth"
