I always wanted to cover this song, but when I started learning the lyrics to record it for this CD I realized something I had never noticed when listening to it casually. Specifically, it seems to be about a vampire. Or maybe I just read too much Anne Rice. At any rate, that insight, accurate or not, drove the arrangement in a far more goth direction than I had originally intended.
